Technical Details:
The angular fitting for live access into PE pipes is a device that can be mounted on a pipe to facilitate operators in inspecting and maintaining the natural gas distribution network.
The objective of this project is to develop a series of angled PE fittings designed to allow camera inspections, flow shut-off, pipe location and cast iron seal inspections in live gas conditions.
Notably, this is the first of its kind because it will be explicitly designed to provide a means for accessing 'plastic' rather thatn 'metallic' mains for inspection and related purposes.
