Technical Details:
The objective of this program is to fund designated
technology development or enhancement projects
through leverage of multiple GTI members' voluntary
investment dollars. It works by GTI issuing
an annual Customer Allocation Form that list
the projects that each gas utility has the option
to join and the cost for either level at which
to join (regular or field test candidate). Each
project has targeted deliverables and the projected
value. GTI's Research Collaboration Program
is intended to provide the gas industry with
innovative methods to voluntarily invest in
R&D projects aimed at their particular Company's
needs. By teaming participants with common interests,
funding is leveraged to provide cost-effective
solutions to the gas industry's most pressing
problems.
GTI
also provides a project manager to oversee the
specific contractor(s) selected for each project,
and the advisory group of cofunding utility
representatives.
