The Sustaining Membership (SMP) program stimulates research on medium to long term projects that otherwise would not be undertaken by manufacturers alone. Research is conducted in all aspects of natural gas transmission and distribution. Over 50 utilities and pipeline companies participate in this program, and resources are pooled to fund a balanced slate of projects.
